So I know that Lloyd haveing nothing in Korea is used narratively to contast how far he's come in Lorasia. But a part of me really wants him to have like one friend, or coworker, or cousin, or just someone that he was relatively close to. I think it would be cool if his choice to stay with the Frontera's more of an active decision rather than his only real option.
But mostly, I want this for Javier. We already know Javier was willing to drag Lloyd kicking and screaming back to Lorasia if he had to. So if while they were in Korea and he happened to see someone whom Lloyd had a strange connection with (or worse, they seemed to be actively mourning Suho's disapearance), I think it could add some juicy internal conflict.
I know this probably wouldn't work in cannon. But I just want Javier to be confronted with physical proof that Lloyd was a real person who had his own life before they became family.
ooohhh i do see where you're coming from that would've been fascinating to explore!
i mean it was fun to explore in cpsm, i think it was pretty well done there and i loved the way bk moon chose to approach rakiel's situation with his friends so i think he would've done a pretty good job had he chosen to do something similar in tged.
i see what you mean with making lloyd's choice to stay with the fronteras more of an active choice rather than his only option and i do think it would've been very poignant if he had to actually leave something precious to him behind to fully embrace his new family!
but i do think it would've slightly diminished the choice he did make in canon when it came to choosing who was he willing to sacrifice, javier or himself, to stop the restoration of fate. in canon it's a really tragic choice, because there's really not a good option for lloyd. he refuses to even consider letting javier die, so really it's between dying or going back to seoul and he makes it very clear that death would be the kinder option for him.
if he has someone he's close to back in seoul, a friend or family, someone who's actually mourning for him, then that makes his choice of dying seem less like the decision of someone terrified to being alone again and more like someone who doesn't care for the pain his loved ones are going through because of him.
if lloyd had had someone to go back to in seoul, then him choosing to stay in lorasia despite the danger he represents to everyone he loves there would've made him a lot more selfish than he is in canon where he genuinely feels like dying is his only real option because anything else would be even worse.
that being said. i am always down for giving javier even more mental issues about lloyd than he already has so adding an element of guilt and conflict to his resolution to keep lloyd with them at any cost is right up my alley <3
and the thing is javier kind of already has an idea of what lloyd's life was back in seoul. nothing specific of course but he pays enough attention to what lloyd sometimes lets slip out to know that it was Not Good. so i think that, at least subconsciously, he wasn't all that guilty about thinking of forcing him to come back with him if necessary.
of course it's still fucked up that he was thinking of dragging him back if lloyd had wanted to stay but it's okay i love it when he's a fucked up little guy <3
but if he'd had actual real proof that lloyd had had a whole life before meeting them... then yeah i think he would've been a little more conflicted about it. not enough to not be resolved to take lloyd with him anyway, not when the fronteras and the estate depend from it, but still. he would've felt more than just 'apologetic' about it.
in any case it would've been interesting to see! as i said i am always down for introducing even more angst into this already messy situation! thanks for sending me this!

I’m sorry but.
Lloyd literally didn’t have a childhood because he was splashed with tomorrows tea because they had to save everyone including himself by that sacrifice,
he was kidnapped by the serpentine and basically made a hostage/sacrifice,
he almost got melted by lava,
HIS MOTHER ABANDONED HIM IN A LITERAL SCHOOL FOR EVIL CHILDREN BECAUSE WELL SHE THOUGHT HE WAS EVIL,
his father abandoned him despite being literally the only parent in his life,
he became basically a child soldier/weapon
his only friend at the time python completely betrayed him and left him for dead (actually all the serpentine actually lol)
THATS JUST SEASON 1
there’s 15+ seasons and I’m not even getting into the bad stuff.
Some highlights!
When he got possessed by Morro and literally almost drowned to death. (He was about 11-12)
when Zane died the first time (11ish)
when he had to push on after all his friends turned evil and with a broken leg and fight his father because the overlord was going to kill everyone including him. (He was 10)
when hurumi literally tried to murder him. And almost succeeded. (13-14)
when he died (he’s died like 3 times just choose the most traumatic one)
when wu literally sacrificed himself to save everyone. (12ish)
when he lost literally his ENTIRE FAMILY IN THE MERGE and when everyone was presumed DEAD
the entire seabound arc.
THE PRIME EMPIRE
When his dad sacrificed himself to save everyone
when his dad came back from the dead and tried to murder him REPEATEDLY
skybound (yeah it “technically” didn’t happen but it’s cannon so shut up)
when he went to hell to save his father but couldn’t.
when the sons of GARMADON almost killed his mother thrice
when his entire family died or almost died.
and again EVEN MORE!
he is fucked up, and I have voted for him because even fucking Heracles didn’t go through that shit!

Mun Answers:
How long ago did you create your oc? how did the idea come to you?
Each bio took at least three weeks but Rico is constantly evolving. Charmed Bio took about 6 months for Mr to actually be comfortable with it as it was. I watched the show and got annoyed by the glaring loopholes
How would you describe your oc's core aesthetic?
-diva
If your oc had a theme song, what would it be?
- Take me for who I am Lloyd
What inspires you when writing your oc?
- my mental health and doing what I can to support others
Do your oc have a face claim? if so, why did you choose them? if they don't have a face claim, why not?
The presence of black characters was nonexistent for me so I made one and after that, I ran into people that were happy that there were black muses that were not just for sex.
Does your oc have any particular ties to certain fandoms? how do they fit into the dynamics of these fandoms and their existing characters?
First bio was charmed after that I changed the finer points to put him into supernatural-themed fandoms.
What are some of your favorite ships with your oc?
no comment but Rico is multi-ship and single-ship for each fandom that he is in. So each fandom I have an OTP but that is based on people that I interact with. He has a weakness for Adam
What do you think makes your oc unique?
the amount of time that it takes him to reach full power with regard to his maturity level.
What qualities do you and your oc have in common?
Our insecurities
What makes you and your oc different?
He is more bold than I could ever be and I love him more than I love myself.
Does your oc have any quirks or habits?
He smiles, smirks, and his eyes glow as tells
In your opinion, what's the hardest thing to do when creating an oc?
Walking the balance between too good and n too evil and being overpowered while doing justice to explaining the power as it deals with the oc versus cannon
In your opinion, what's the easiest thing to do when creating an oc?
Finding the inspiration to do it
Are there any canon characters that inspired your oc?
Top Three: Pheobe halliwell, Cole Turner, Dark pheonix
Are there any canon characters you wish would interact with your oc?
Charmed
What's your opinion on ocs in general?
nothing but love as they add top the phandom. INteracting with a supernatural oc or Legacies then i go back and watch the show with more passion
Do you have any hot takes about ocs?
not really
What colors do you associate with your oc?
tiffany blue
What do you think your oc smells like?
small and devilish
Are there any important npcs in your oc's life? what are they like?
Akasha, Lestat, Enkiel, Celeste, Marius, Thoth, Maharet (his greatest enemy)
How would other characters describe your oc?
- Asshole, Kind, Blunt,

Head Cannon: Kai is terrible with isolation from the others. Without someone to take care of/be an idiot with, he slides into a bunch of self-destructive behaviors.
Do you want an essay? BECAUSE THIS IS HOW YOU GET AN ESSAY!!!
Kai's abandonment issues play a huge, yet subtle role in his character arch in the first series, which is heavily influenced by Nya's character arch and influences Lloyd's and AAAAAHHH! That's something I love about the show! Nothing happens in a vacuum and all the character growth effects the other characters for better and for worse, and now I'm on a different rant.
So Kai's near earliest memory is his parents disappearing. Unlike Nya, he remembers them. He knows something got taken away, were as Nya has only ever really known the empty space they left. So this has had much different effects on them growing up.
Kai immediately latched onto his little sister as his only family left and was terrified she could dissapear as well, so he devoted his entire self to making sure he had her and she was ok.
Nya, already a naturally independent girl suffered under this arrangement, but felt no right to resist it since she knew WHY Kai was smothering her. If he wasn't doing something to make sure she was ok, he'd start to spiral into fear that he wasn't doing enough to keep her safe and around and that he'd be all alone. Nya couldn't bare to put Kai through that kind of anguish, so she tolerated a lot of fussing from him. This is also why she had such a strong negative reaction to even the act of being concerned for her safety, she took too much worry and fretting from Kai to take it from anybody else. Which contributed to her and Jay's break up, she was insisting on far too much space and independence from a relationship, while Jay had the opposite problem and needed to learn how to be ok on his own before he could hope to share himself with anyone. But now we're on a different rant again (You see what I mean by all the character growth affecting other characters?)
So Kai has spent his entire life devoting himself to keeping his family (sister) safe. He even became a ninja for this reason specifically. After becoming a ninja he gets something he's never had, friends and a support system outside of Nya. It's good for him and he goes through some significant growth.
Nya meanwhile has he first taste of freedom from Kai's constant worry and thrives. She wants to push it, and herself, even further and Samurai X is born.
Kai finds out after Nya has proved herself as not only capable of protecting herself, but being able to turn the tables and save him and the other ninja. He couldn't be prouder of her, but this doesn't do good things for Kai.
Kai had devoted his whole life to protecting Nya, who has proven she doesn't need him.
Now what?
This sends Kai into a crisis of identity. He hasn't spent any time in his entire life considering what and who he was besides Nya's brother. Now that he very suddenly has to face himself without that purpose, he panics. He throws himself into the idea of being the green ninja because it seems like the only option. He was Nya's brother, and a ninja. If his purpose isn't being the best brother to Nya, then it must be to be the best ninja, I.E. the green ninja.
Kai puts far too much emotional baggage into this idea since he feels like it's his only option. If this isn't it, then he's got nothing left, so it has to be this.
Except it's not working. The other ninja, not realizing that Kai is acting out in desperation and self doubt and not just being an egotist, don't help his sense of self worth by teasing him. The idea of Nya being the green ninja instead of him sends him into a ridiculous panic because it would be the complete removal of every he's ever seen himself as (Not to mention, there is some undealt with silver medals complex there that I think Kai has stubbornly refused to even touch because Nya was all he had and he couldn't cope with having any negative feelings about her)
By the time they get to the volcano, Kai is an emotional disaster. He's done everything he could think up and nothing has worked. Not only is he not being the "best" ninja, from his perspective he's now the worst. So he decides he would rather die in that volcano than face yet another failure. In response to Jay telling him it's "not worth his life" Kai doesn't actually address that. He answers that he's not leaving unless he succeeds. Kai almost acknowledges that he's likely going to die and he'd prefer that.
Kai's self destruction pity party into the afterlife gets crashed by someone that was not supposed to be there. Lloyd.
Now Kai isn't thinking about how it's death or failure, because there's a new mission to fail or succeed at: Saving Lloyd.
Lloyd, a terrified child who has family waiting for him on the outside, who looks like he already knows Kai won't choose to save him.
Kai can't fail at BOTH missions and die. He has to save Lloyd. That's when he realizes his new purpose. It's the same thing he's always done, protect someone with his entire life, it's just that Nya doesn't need it, but Lloyd does, desperately. Kai realizes he's supposed to protect Lloyd and everything else clicks. That's what the prophecy meant all along. He's Lloyd's guardian, a job he's trained his whole life to do. Now he has something again, and he gets back to a stable state of mind. He's job is to be the best protector to Lloyd.
But stable doesn't mean healthy.
Kai may've ended his destructive desperation, but he still hasn't actually tackled the issue of being his own independent person. Good news is Lloyd is never going to not need him, so Kai will never face the same crisis he did when Nya found her independence, but he still has an emotional crisis when he can't be there for Lloyd. Notice how he gets more and more unhinged the longer he goes when Lloyd's away and in danger. He reverts right back to that abandoned boy that's so desperately clinging onto what he has left.
I believe the others learn pretty quick that when Kai starts acting out and showing off, it's usually because he feels inadequate and is seeking validation, and that taunting him when he gets like that will make it worse.
Basically. Yes. If Kai doesn't have somebody else to focus on, he is forced to face himself as an individual and he has never really figured out how to do that without having a breakdown. So he needs constant supervision to keep from falling into another self destructive cycle.
This is why Kai is banned from solo missions. It's never been said outloud, and he hasn't been told this, but it's a rule they all follow.

Ron spoke to The Hinckley Times on the 70th anniversary of D-Day in 2014 about his experience as a cannon fodder in the 17/21st Lancers Program.” The very first thing they informed you was the reconnaissance corps was infamous for taking the most casualties,”
he stated.”However we never ever took any notice. It may sound odd however we didn’t think of being afraid, we simply got on with things.”He was conscripted at
the age of 18 and after fundamental training was transferred to Kent and found out to swim at Margate, a ghost town after locals
had fled, fearful of an invasion. As a motorist and gunner
, Ron became part of a three-man group in a heavy armoured car, with the team devoting hours to waterproofing their truck on Margate prom.
They waited in the Channel for a week as the first wave of the Allied invasion made its way through northern France.
Reconnaissance systems were charged with getting ahead of advancing soldiers and reporting back on opponent motions, but the infantry needed to go in first, to clear a path for them.
Ron said: “We knew something was taking place but we felt like we ran out the way.
“We didn’t seem like we were under threat, the RAF had mastery of the skies so we didn’t think we remained in danger of being bombed.
“It was a funny sensation all round. There should have been numerous ships in the Channel but they were all spread out about.
“When we did land it resembled a constant wave, there were thousands of people on Gold Beach where British soldiers landed.
“Already the place had actually been cleared so we got off the beach nearly right away.
“I remember it looked strange seeing just stacks and piles of lifejackets.
“Everyone put a lifejacket on when they were prepared to disembark however when you hit the beach you threw the thing off.
“There were actually mountains of them.”
The corps’orders were to make for Bayeaux and sign up with up with other units, with Ron and his group entrusted with getting ahead of the frontline and gathering details on the enemy.
They would ‘snake’ along the roads, empty of all but equipped forces cars.
Nevertheless, his time in Normandy came to an end simply a couple of months later on when he was injured and had actually to be repatriated, recuperating in a military healthcare facility in Carlisle.
Here he met a nurse, Jean, who he wed in 1945, and after a few months he was off to Europe again to serve in the tank routine.
He saw action in Greece and Egypt prior to coming home for great.
Read More Ron and Jean settled in Earl Shilton where they raised their two children, Ian and Barbara, with Ron operating in the hosiery trade and Jean becoming a dental nurse.
He was well understood for running several shops in Hinckley and Burbage, including one at the top of Castle Street, the post workplace in Derby Road, one in London Road and the parade of stores where the Three Pots Kitchen is.
He retired in Might 1989 on his 65th birthday.
Music was constantly a huge part of his life, and he performed along with Billy Breen, better known as Larry Grayson, presenter of The Generation Video game, with jazzman Kenny Ball and with Irish vocalist Dana.
Barbara stated: “He was constantly in a band. He discovered to play piano when he was 6 and brought on playing right up until the week he died.
“We constantly had pianos and organs around your home. He attempted to teach us.”
Barbara plays the clarinet with the Enderby Apprentice Windband while Ian has actually run a number of music nights and open mic occasions in the Earl Shilton area.
Ron was also a stalwart of the Hinckley branch of the Royal British Legion, which he participated 1995, and he helped arrange a number of the annual commemorations in the town.
He was president of the group from 2015 until his death, keeping up to date with occasions regardless of being unable to go to meetings in his last few years.
He stated in 2014: “I lost an excellent variety of my mates who were associated with fighting around Bayeaux and I have been out to the cemeteries numerous times.
“It is necessary to mark these occasions and keep in mind individuals who died, specifically for the children these days.
“All of us require to keep in mind the sacrifice that was made, when you check out the cemeteries and see the variety of headstones it is frustrating.”
Branch chairman Lloyd Bagshaw frequently went to see Ron at Moat Home Care House in Burbage.
He said: “He constantly liked to understand what we were doing.
“He was constantly saying ‘I’ll pertain to the conference. I’ll see you next Thursday’ although he could not.”
He added: “We are deeply saddened at his loss. We thank him for his service, both to the branch and for his commitment and sacrifices during the war.
“They gave us the flexibility we have today.”
Ron was decorated for his wartime efforts with the LĂ©gion d’honneur, France’s greatest honour, and with a chest badge for the 60th anniversary of the Normandy landings, presented in Caen.
He was also a company supporter of Earl Shilton Baptist Church and was a pilot, qualifying for his silver wings in 1978.
Barbara said: “We’re quite alike. There’s a great deal of him in me. His work principles and his general way, how he dealt with people.
“He was constantly very reasonable, I never ever heard him have a cross word with anybody.”
He had specific prepare for his funeral service which the family hope to perform with an event later on in the year.
Ron’s spouse died numerous years ago however he is endured by his 2 kids, his two grandchildren and his eight-month-old excellent granddaughter, Iris.
